Around 10-11 AFL, the organization as a whole became interested in Everett-Linde, and one known operation sent Viper and Cypher to the now-destroyed lab in order to secure blueprints for a full Alpha- Omega teleporter that the facility had been using. The blueprint for the Alpha-Omega teleporterĪt some point, the experiments being done by Kingdom Corporation and Kingdom Industries at the Everett-Linde Research Lab in Santa Fe County caused an event wherein the surrounding environment was split in two halves, affecting the area for miles beyond the facility, which drew the attention of a VALORANT Protocol agent. This base would serve as the training grounds for the Protocol agents, with Brimstone and Cypher setting up their individual offices within the facility.īy the time that Yoru, the Protocol's 15th recruit, joined the organization, there was a known operation wherein they were successful in fending off a spike attack from Omega agents in Bennett Island. Īt some point following the Venice incident, VALORANT established a forward operating base on a floating island that was once part of the Italian city.

VALORANT continued to hire agents after these events. Agents within the Protocol started to meet each other in person for the first time and the senior leadership began to brief the younger agents about what they knew regarding Omega, a major change from how the organization used to operate. While the team was successful in creating a defuser that prevented the spike from detonating, Phoenix had an encounter with his Omega counterpart, which prompted the VP to start sharing information after the incident. A day afterwards, international news media began reporting of the disaster whilst at the same time, a similar attack occurred in Rabat, with the Protocol sending a strike team consisting of Killjoy, Viper, and Phoenix in order to handle the situation this time. The resulting spike detonation caused multiple chunks of the city to become suspended in the air. In 10 AFL, VALORANT sent Phoenix to Venice in order to stop an unknown Radiant from planting a device known as the spike, but he was unsuccessful in doing so. Despite this, VALORANT continued their operations as normal. Īt some point, the VALORANT leadership learned about the existence of the Omega Earth, but chose to withhold this information from newer recruits.ĭuring an undisclosed period, the Protocol's eighth agent was reported to be absent indefinitely. During these early days of VALORANT, information was strictly kept on a need-to-know basis and even agents themselves were compartmentalized. Some of these agents had quickly risen up the ranks, with Sage, VALORANT's 7th recruit, being identified by Protocol top brass as an individual with significant leadership qualities.

By around 10 AFL, the Protocol had recruited at least 10 agents during their existence (up to Jett). These Agents consisted of Radiants and other individuals equipped with technology, with all of them coming from a wide spectrum of backgrounds ranging from crime to the military. The VALORANT Protocol would go on to recruit more agents to their cause, with each agent being given a number in the order that they joined.

VALORANT's task was to keep the world safe from dangerous situations involving radianite and ensure that no cataclysmic disasters would occur. Omen is also known to have played an important part in the VP's founding. Brimstone and Viper were the Protocol's first two agents and earliest members, with Brimstone becoming its leader and Viper his second-in-command. In response to a mysterious event, known as First Light, that affected the entirety of a near future Earth, an unknown shadow organization founded the secretive VALORANT Protocol, which pulled together agents from all over the world. 1.3 Initial defense against Omega Earth.
